Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a session cost? Do you take insurance?

I am a private-pay therapist, meaning I do not bill insurance. The session fee is $115 for a 50-minute session. The platform I use, Sessions Health, allows clients to add a credit card to their file for easy transactions.

I am happy to provide a superbill for you that you may be able to submit to your insurance for partial reimbursement for out-of-network providers. Contact your insurance to inquire about mental health benefits and reimbursement rates.

Do you offer in-person therapy?

Yes, I offer in-person sessions at my office in downtown Chattanooga. Additionally, I offer virtual therapy for clients located in the state of Tennessee.

Can you tell me more about virtual therapy?

I utilize Sessions Health, a protected platform for teletherapy. You will be able to set up a client portal, complete all your paperwork, then follow a link at the time of the session! While virtual sessions may be a new experience, many clients enjoy the convenience and accessibility.

Do you provide therapy for clients in Georgia or other states?

I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Tennessee. Due to limitations around state lines and licensing, I am only able to counsel clients located in the state of Tennessee at the time of the session. I can see any client in-person at my office but I can only see those physically located in the state of Tennessee at the time of the session for telehealth.

What should I expect at my intake session?

For the initial session, I will gather background information and we will discuss your current symptoms and your goals for therapy. I believe you are the expert in your own story, therefore your insight and goals for therapy will inform the treatment direction.
